Fall is just around the corner and the calendar is filling up. 

 MTCIA meeting in Missoula

When: Tuesday, August 30, 7:00pm – 9:00pm

Where: Red Lion Inn Missoula 700 W. Broadway Missoula

What: Referendum update, State’s repeal response, Current lawsuit status, Membership discussion

 

 Administrative Rules Hearing

When: Wednesday, August 31, 1:30 pm

Where: DPHHS Building, 111 N. Sanders, Helena

What: This hearing is on the rules for administering the provisions of SB 423. The provisions themselves are not the topic of discussion, but the details as to how the provisions will be implemented. Read the rules here. 

 

16th Annual Missoula Hempfest

When: Saturday, September 10 · 12:00pm – 10:30pm

Where: Caras Park – Under Higgins Bridge – Downtown Missoula

What: Hemp Food – Hemp Vendors – Live Music – Speakers – A Hemp Fashion Show – Raffle – and Educational Opportunities. Join us at the after-party hosted by the MTICA at the Top Hat at 10 pm. $5 at the door. Music by Last International and Voodoo Horseshoes. Giveaways.

 

 Meeting of Children, Families, Health, and Human Services Interim Committee

When: Monday, September 19, 9 am – 9:40 am

Where: State Capitol, Room 137

What: This is the first meeting of the Children, Families, Health, and Human Services Interim Committee since the legislature. New members have been assigned. This meeting will cover many DPHHS issues. The medical cannabis issue will be covered briefly. Kate Cholewa from the MTCIA is on the agenda.

 

“Medical Marijuana in Montana: Thoughtful Questions, Repsonsible Answers”

When: Monday & Tuesday, September 19 (7 pm) & 20 (7:45 am – 4 pm)

Where: Red Lion Colonial Hotel, Helena

What: The non-partisan, privately funded Wheeler Center for public policy at
Montana State University will host a statewide gathering to examine
and discuss the future of medical marijuana in our state in Helena. MTCIA attorney Jim Goetz will be serving as one of the panelists. This gathering is for all Montanans and various perspectives will be aired. See the preliminary program here. Cost: $35.
